Dozens of families gathered for a Hampstead estate’s first ever family fun day.
A bouncy castle, music and ample food and drink were all on offer for residents of Studholme Court off Finchley Road on Saturday. One visitor, who has lived on the estate for 20 years, said the event was the first time she had ever met her neighbours before.
Local businesses including Vue Cinema and Nando’s sponsored the fun day to allow organisers to provide free entertainment.
The day was organised by Eddie Hanson, who set up a tenants and residents association last year in an attempt to bring his community together.
Mr Hanson, also chairman of Sidings Community Centre in West Hampstead, said: “I saw an opportunity to bring our community together because I saw that there was a place for community integration.”
