The North London Waste Authority is urging people not to throw out unwanted el-ectrical products for landfill.

Andrew Lappage, head of waste strategy at the NLWA, said: "Very few members of the public are aware of the new EU legislation which was passed last summer, meaning all unwanted electrical products need to be recycled responsibly."

Marked bins are being left at recycling depots for people to deposit their electrical goods. To find your nearest centre, visit www.nlwa.gov.uk /html/recycling.asp or contact Camden Council.
