PLANS for a new house on a quiet Belsize Park street have rattled concerned residents and English Heritage.
A developer wants to demolish most of a building on Daleham Mews, within the Belsize Park Conservation Area.
In its place, Michael Nathenson wants to build a two-storey family house with a basement and attic.
The Belsize Residents Association has objected, claiming it will be too high and disrupt the unique character of the mews.
English Heritage has also raised concerns about the impact of the demolition on the conservation area.
A planning committee will decide whether to give the proposals the green light at the Town Hall tonight.
