As a resident of Pond Square I was enchanted by last Saturday's festival. It was imaginatively planned, wonderfully organised and efficiently dismantled.
The square was, for once, alive with happy people of all ages, from Highgate and beyond. The mix of stalls, children's entertainment and information stands for good causes was excellent. I strolled around for well night two hours and could not detect a sad face. On Sunday morning no trace of litter anywhere - in fact it was much cleaner than on normal weekends. What a triumph for everyone who gave their time and energy to make this event happen, especially to the mangificent Christina Nolan for the best ever festival. Long may it continue!
