The cast of Four Tails, including former Emmerdale actors Emma Davies and Matthew Bose, attended the screening at the Everyman cinema in Holly Bush Vale, Hampstead, on Sunday, although the dogs were not allowed inside.

The 20-minute short focuses on four fictional dog owners and was shot on location on the Heath last summer. It was written and produced by another ex-Emmerdale star, Hampstead actress Georgia Slowe, and directed by Christopher Villiers, who also appeared in the ITV soap.

The screening raised money for charity All Dogs Matter, which has saved 2,000 dogs from being put down since it launched five years ago.

Hampstead actor Peter Egan, its patron, said: “It was a really charming film – funny, nicely written and delicately woven.”
