An entrepreneurial schoolboy is raising money for charity by taking away Christmas trees in exchange for a fee.

Bryce Puszet, 17, of West End Lane, West Hampstead, needs to find £3,800 to embark on a World Challenge expedition to Madagascar in July, where he and other pupils will carry out charitable community projects. He is charging residents in West Hampstead £5 in return for him taking their trees to designated Camden Council recycling points. He came up with the scheme during a discussion with family about how to raise money for the trip over Christmas Day dinner. So far, he has raised more than £200. Bryce, a pupil at independent Merchant Taylor’s School in Watford, said: “It can be tiring but it is rewarding.”
