Leading academics took a break from their research to visit a Swiss Cottage secondary school and talk to budding scientists about their work.
Students aged between 14 and 18 at UCL Academy in Adelaide Road listened to lectures from top professors who all work at the school’s sponsor, University College London.
Engineer and materials scientist Professor Mark Miodownik, one of The Times’ 100 most influential scientists in the UK, gave a lecture at the academy earlier this month and signed copies of his book for pupils studying GCSEs and A-levels.
