A children’s author has revealed how he writes his popular novels to hundreds of pupils from Camden schools.
Charlie Fletcher, the writer behind the Stoneheart series, visited University College School (UCS) in Frognal, Hampstead, to talk to about 200 pupils from UCL Academy in Swiss Cottage, Hampstead Parochial CofE Primary School in Hampstead, and UCS.
Mr Fletcher spoke about his background, his childhood and what inspired him to write, before children asked him questions, earlier this month.
Carrie Reiners, director of development at UCS, said: “It went really well. They laughed at his funny stories.
“One child asked what his routine for writing a book was. He told them it’s daunting but there’s a whole process behind it and it’s about doing a little bit each day.”
