A six-year-old girl’s first ever haircut was an extra special one after she donated her chopped off locks to a cancer charity.
Ezra Hurman – who goes to St Michael’s Primary School in Highgate – decided to take on the challenge after seeing an advert on televison showing children with leukaemia who had lost their hair.
The big cut at Coco in Loca in Harringay was in aid of the Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides real-hair wigs to boys and girls who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
Proud mum Dilek Ulusoy said: “When the first braid was cut she got a bit emotional, she loves her hair and all the attention she got when it was really long. She told me she was happy that another little girl would feel just as good as she felt. She has a really big heart and now loves her short hair.”
