About 100 people wore sarees and salwar kameez at Gospel Oak Primary and Nursery School, Mansfield Road, Gospel Oak, on Friday, which was organised by Cllr Nasim Ali, cabinet member for young people and a parent at the school.
Parents cooked a wide variety of food ranging from Nepali curry, samosas, bhajis and rice dishes and two professional dancers took to the stage to entertain the crowd. They also encouraged the pupils and teachers to join the dancing.
