Students at Portland Place School walked, ran and hopped on a charity ‘bunny run’ to raise more than a thousand pounds for homeless charity Shelter.
The event – which was a two kilometres effort around Regent’s Park – was organised by the school’s student charity committee as part of an end of term Easter celebration.
At the end of the run, everyone received a well-deserved chocolate bunny and pupils Cristina Carbosiero, Josh Hall and Calder Douglas received special prizes including a medal and a jumbo chocolate egg each to recognise their fundraising efforts. Calder managed to raise £250 alone and was crowned best fundraiser.
Modern foreign languages teacher Charlotte Magniez said: “Thanks to everyone’s effort we raised lots of money for Shelter.
“We had a lot of fun and it was a great celebration before we break up for Easter. The pupils really got into the spirit of things and did an excellent job.”
