A poet returned to her old school to help children create edible art by writing on flying saucers and fruity mints.
Former Hampstead School pupil Talia Beni-Randall tested the literary talents of pupils aged 12 and 13 at the school in Westbere Road, Cricklewood, last Thursday.
She ran the workshop as part of Back to School Week, a national campaign by education charity Future First to connect alumni with current students.
English teacher Jyoti Careswell said: “The pupils were really engaged with the innovative approach to poetry.”
