A Jewish nursery has been rated outstanding after an anxious five-year wait to be inspected by government watchdog Ofsted.
Yeladenu Pre-School in Muswell Hill Synagogue in Tetherdown, Muswell Hill, was given the highest possible score in every category in a report published on Monday.
The 10-year-old nursery was praised for teaching children about multiculturalism and diversity, and for its “well-qualified and passionate staff”, who were said to form “exceptional” relationships with children.
Manager Helen Style said: “We were relieved. We’ve been waiting a long time for an inspection, and it’s brilliant.”
The pre-school is the only Jewish nursery in Haringey.
