A Nobel Prize-winning scientist has officially opened a school’s £25million new building.
Neuroscientist Professor John O’Keefe, who won the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine last year, was guest of honour at Friday’s ceremony at Regent High School in Somers Town.
The new building proves pupils with state-of-the-art facilities including professional theatre, gym, recording studio and library.
Rosemary Leeke, headteacher of Regent High School, said: “It has been a significant undertaking, and I would like to thank all those involved from a multitude of organisations for creating a stimulating new school for our aspirational young people, their families and the wider community.”
