Holborn and St Pancras MP Kier Starmer helped to celebrate the success of students at an adult learning college’s prizegiving.

Learners were handed certificates and awards by the politician at the annual Working Men’s College (WMC) Student Success Night at the college in Crowndale Road, Camden Town.

More than 100 people attended to see students pick up prizes, including the ‘How WMC Changed My Life’ award.

Sir Kier said: “The WMC Success Night was a great opportunity for me to see how the breadth of courses at WMC has enriched so many students’ lives around the local area.”

Principal Helen Hammond added: “It was a wonderful evening for our students to highlight how important adult education is. It was great to celebrate how well our students have done.”
