One of the country’s top state schools in Hampstead Garden Suburb has applied to have CCTV installed on its premises.
The Henrietta Barnett School submitted an application to Barnet Council for installation of CCTV on its site in Central Square, the Suburb, last month.
Applicant Richard Cain put forward plans for CCTV coverage of the north-west, west and south west areas of the school site, including boundary access gates, ground floor windows and doorways.
Acting headteacher Mandy Watts said: “We are simply installing CCTV as a security measure in common with most schools.”
