A schoolboy has scored a top grade at A-level – despite taking the exam two years early.
Wiliam Ellis School pupil Matthew Walker, 16, achieved an A in his mathematics A-level last Thursday.
But the nail-biting wait for results is not yet over because he is still yet to pick up his GCSE results, to be released on Thursday.
Matthew, who scooped an A* in his mathematics GCSEs two years ago, said: “I was really pleased. It was difficult, especially as I had GCSEs to do this year as well.”
Matthew, of South End Green, Hampstead, will study for more A-levels at Camden School for Girls in Camden Town from September.
