Parents were treated to a St George’s Day tea party to thank them for supporting their children’s primary school.
Pupils at Gospel Oak School in Mansfield Road, Gospel Oak, patriotically sported red and white as the school paid homage to the patron saint of England for the first time in its history last Thursday.
The celebrations were held for parents to show the school’s gratitude for the work they put into organising events and helping their children with their studies.
Tracy Storey, educational pastoral support team manager, said: “The atmosphere was electric.
She added: “We wanted to give something back to our parents.”
