A former MOBO award winner took part in a five-hour drumming marathon at King Alfred School to raise money for Comic Relief on Red Nose Day.

Pat Leacock, who is a member of staff at King Alfred, was joined by lower and upper school children who accompanied him on a range of percussion instruments.

Students, parents and staff chose their favourite song and paid money for Pat to drum to that music.

More than £2,000 has been raised thanks to Pat’s efforts, but there is still time to donate by searching for Pat Leacock drum marathon at virginmoneygiving.com.

Several schools got into the spirit of things on Friday, including students at Coldfall Primary School in Muswell Hill who dressed for the occasion in a variety of outfits.
