Heartlands’ head of school ‘delighted’ with GCSE results

Heartlands High School’s head of school said she is “delighted” with their set of GCSE results.
The school has seen an increase in grade 5 and above in maths, geography, French and Spanish.
Fatima Addow got four grade 9s in English language, English literature, combined science and history.
She also got A*s in product design, and sociology.
71 per cent of pupils at the school in Station Road got grades 9 to 4 in maths, and 81pc got grades 9 to 4 in English.

Head of school, Elen Roberts praised her “amazing” staff who taught and helped pupils throughout the process. She said: “We are delighted with a great set of GCSE results this year. We wish the 2018 cohort all the best in the next stage of their education and congratulate them on their outstanding achievements.
“I would also like to thank our amazing staff who have worked very hard to ensure students were well prepared for and supported through these exams.”
