Amanda and Olivia Wiertelak, pictured, and Maddie and Darcy Hookway managed to bag an incredible 36 A*/A grades between the four of them. Amanda and Olivia even squeezed in an AS level in Polish for good measure, too, in which they both achieved As.

These results came on the back of a great day for the school, with 99.4 percent of girls achieving five A* to C grades (including maths and English) and 83.3pc of exams being graded either A* or A.

“I am delighted with the success of this year group,” said headteacher Barbara Elliot.

“It’s result of hard work and determination from the girls and excellent teaching, care and dedication from their teachers.”
