It was a barnstorming return to The Roundhouse for Highgate School’s third annual showcase.
The evening of drama, dance and music was designed to showcase the best of the independent school’s co-curricular life, from the pre-prep right up to the sixth form.
Students performed a number of theatrical performances, dance displays, choral pieces and comedy skits, while there was also an appearance from The Highgate Jazz Band and the Roundhouse Choir, which was assembled specifically for the event.
The show saw a ‘partnership drama’ in the latter half of the performance bringing together Fortismere School, Acland Burghley School and Highgate. The devised dance and drama piece, called ‘When We Were Young’, even included a surprise appearance on screen from Judge Rinder.
Highgate School headteacher Adam Pettitt said: “One of the things that Highgate and The Roundhouse share is a belief in the strength to be found in building links beyond its own walls, and finding ways to support and nurture talent.
“This year Highgate has become ever more focused on its links with the community and its partner schools: most notably in the development of LAE Tottenham.
“This was the night’s final purpose: to look back and be proud of all that the pupils have achieved in the last year, but also to look ahead, and to be excited for all that is possible in the future.

“The performance was a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students – this was no easy task, but they have risen to the challenge with charm, confidence, and panache.”
The school first visited The Roundhouse in 2014, and then returned as part of the School’s 450th birthday celebrations a year later.
