A Barnet school and a nursery have been warned that they need to significantly improve by Ofsted inspectors.
All-boys secondary school Christ’s College Finchley, in East End Road, East Finchley, was downgraded from “good” to “requires improvement” in a report last week.
Inspectors said the proportion of students making progress in English was below national levels and that teaching “was not consistently good” throughout the school.
Gan Sabres nursery in Finchley Road, Golders Green, failed its latest Ofsted inspection, receiving the lowest possible rating of “inadequate”.
It was downgraded from “requires improvement” grade because staff do not manage behaviour consistently and there were breaches of safeguarding and welfare, inspectors said.
