A pair of non-identical twins have spookily achieved exactly the same exam grades for the second year running.

Hampstead students Nastascha and Josh Von Uexkull, 18, opened their results yesterday to discover they both achieved an A*, A and a B.

The twins, who attended La Swap sixth-form consortium, studied English literature together but otherwise took different subjects.

However, they still ended up with identical grades.

The pair, who also picked up exactly the same AS-levels last year, described the coincidence as “scary”.

Natascha, who lives with her family in the Vale of Health, said: “It’s really strange, and it keeps happening! I don’t know why. For English we studied together, but we still ended up with slightly different grades in that.

Josh added: “I think it’s a bit spooky that we got the same grades. I help Tash out, because I get into a meditative ‘zen’ mindset when she’s stressing.”

Natascha plans to take a gap year to get an internship in an art gallery, while Josh will do an art foundation course at prestigious Camberwell College of Arts, Peckham.

Josh has recently been shortlisted by the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, and Arsenal footballer Theo Walcott in a national schools competition to design a First World Memorial to commemorate the football matches played on the western front during 1914’s Christmas truce.

The winner of the contest will be announced in September and the memorial will stand at the National Memorial Arboretum, the UK’s centre of remembrance, in Staffordshire.
