Pupils at a Hampstead school abandoned their studies for an afternoon to play a version of classic TV game show It’s a Knockout to mark the last day at their temporary campus.

About 650 girls at South Hampstead High School raced against each other on a giant inflatable obstacle course on Friday (October 17).

It was the last day the pupils will spend at Hampstead Cricket Club in Lymington Road, West Hampstead - the school’s temporary home for two-and-a-half years while its main building in Maresfield Gardens was redeveloped.

They will move into their new premises following a two-week break for half-term on Tuesday, November 4.

Julie Dark, director of marketing and communications, said: “One big advantage of the temporary site was having the big grounds there all the time, especially in the middle of urban London, so we thought we should use the resource for one last time for a big hoorah.”
