University College School was today celebrating the second best set of A-level results in its history, with 70 students receiving nothing below an A grade.
Overall 72% of exams were graded A* or A, up from 64% last year, while 93% of students achieved A* to B.
The students will head to a variety of top university destinations across the UK, including Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, Warwick, Bristol, LSE, UCL and Edinburgh. Ten students will also travel to America to carry out their studies, with Cornell and Boston among the destinations.
“These A Level results are a wonderful reflection of a talented and hard-working year group,” said headmaster Mark Beard.
“When you consider the huge contribution they made to the culture of UCS, particularly in Music, Drama, Sport and as role-models for the younger pupils, these results are even more well-deserved.”
