A Winter festival and lights switch-on got Christmas underway in Primrose Hill.
Thousands of people descended on the village on Sunday. Among the craft and food stalls, Santa and his elves took a break from the workshop to greet families ahead of their busy Christmas schedule.
The event on Regent’s Park Road raised money for All Dogs Matter in their charity Dog Show, where owners and their canine chums competed to win the various categories.
The youngest judge was 9-year-old Scarlett Santi, whose parents own the Princess of Wales pub.
Proceeds also went to the Chalk Farm food bank.
At the end of the event, actress Kathryn Drysdale, switched on the Christmas lights.
Karen Santi, whose daughter helped judge the dog show said she enjoyed the event. “This years festival went down a storm. It was chilly but the sun shone through and the atmosphere was extremely festive.”
