Councillors will not rule on a controversial proposed redevelopment for a historic bowling club until mid-January.
Plans are to knock down the former Mansfield Bowling Club building in Dartmouth Park and build 21 homes, a sports pavillion and a community garden on the 100-year-old bowling green.
An extra tennis court would also be created to provide the Kenlyn Tennis Club, based at the now-closed club, with three courts.
The decision was delayed last night by Camden Council’s Development Control Committee because there were too many items on the planning meeting’s agenda.
Camden planning officers have recommended that councillors approve the application for planning permission, on the condition that developer Generator Group pays £600,000 towards local sports facilities.

More than 150 people have objected to the plans.
Camden planners revealed in a report published last week that someone had offered to buy the site from the developer for £150,000 in October.

The bowling club was listed by the community as an asset of community value in 2013, meaning the community can make a bid to buy the site if it is put on the market.
