This year, Ham&High Broadway will be among sponsors of the event which runs from June 8 to 17.

There will be musicians, dancers, artists, craftspeople, designers and other performers taking part and food, drink and activites.

Organisers has have appealed for anyone who wants to get involved to contact them as soon as possible.

Chris Arnold, the artistic director of the festival said: “It’s only three weeks away. We hope you’ll join us – whether you’d like to put on an event, or come along and join in the fun.”

He added: “This will be the last year for a while that we’ll be able to use the Hornsey Town Hall square and green before it’s redeveloped, so we intend to make it a really big festival. We have lots of the regular contributors, like Crouch End Players and Poets in a Phone Box, but many new first time performers too.”

The event, sponsored by local businesses along with main sponsor Martyn Gerrard estate agent, is supporting several causes including trying to reduce the use of plastics and a Dyslexia themed film festival. The festival will include an open air screening of the film Footloose on the green on June 9.

Mr Arnold said: “This year we want everyone to get on their tight blue jeans and dance the night away to Footloose, our free film on the green introduced by Peter Bradshaw. (Sponsored by Specsavers Crouch End).”

Volunteers are also needed throughout the festival to help with jobs such as coordinating the bands on Music Day, to putting up gazebos, manning the festival stall, and a host of other things that crop up each day.
