A bookshop and restaurant in West Hampstead have become the latest victims of what appears to be a spree of break-ins along the high street.
West End Lane Books and nearby restaurant La Brocca were targeted by thieves early on Saturday morning in two raids. About £140 was stolen from the bookshop’s till and various bottles of spirits taken from the restaurant.
Police say they are linking the two crimes.
It comes just over two weeks after an attempted burglary at St James’ church, off West End Lane, and less than a week after pan-Asian restaurant Toomai was also broken into.
No arrests have been made and inquiries continue.
