Three men arrested as part of a police investigation into an orthodox Jewish rabbi accused of sexual assault will face no further action.

The men, aged 62, 26, and 64, were arrested in February on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in relation to the arrest of Rabbi Chaim Halpern.

Rabbi Halpern, 55, leader of Divrei Chaim Synagogue in Bridge Lane, Temple Fortune, was arrested in February on suspicion of sexual assault and perverting the course of justice.

Last Tuesday, the three men returned from bail to a north London police station and were released with no further action.

Rabbi Halpern also attended a north London police station last Tuesday and was bailed to return next month.
