A heartless thief stole around �500 from an 81-year-old woman as she shopped in Bayswater.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft at about 4.30pm on Friday, November 9 in Queensway.
The pensioner had just withdrawn the cash from a branch of Santander in the same street and had continued with her shop.
But upon paying for her groceries at a fruit stall she realised that her handbag containing the money was missing.
