A suspected knifeman who is accused of attacking two men oustide a Camden nightclub was ordered to stand trial today.

Dean James, 35, allegedly stabbed Christian Morrow in the neck. he also attempted to assault a second man Giorgio Guled outside Camden Barfly on Chalk Farm Road.

James is said to have turned on the 31-year-old victims after he was allegedly warned to stop behaving aggressively outside Camden Barfly in north London.

Mr Morrow received three stitches to his wound, which was not life threatening, at a nearby hospital.

The defendant, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene late at night on August 14.

Appearing by video link from Pentonville Prison, he denied wounding Mr Morrow with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and attempted wounding with intent in relation to Mr Guled.

He also denied possessing an offensive weapon during the hearing at Blackfriars Crown Court.

Judge Peter Clarke QC remanded James in custody ahead of his trial which he set for January 17 2011.
