A couple were violently assaulted, with one of them suffering a bleed on the brain, after challenging a man urinating in Fairfax Road in June,

The victims, a 43-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were walking down the road in South Hampstead at about 1.15am on Sunday June 10 when they saw a man urinating in the street.

When they challenged him, three others, two men and a woman got out of a parked car nearby and assaulted them.

The female suspect did not take part in the assault.

The 43-year-old had his jaw broken, as well as a bleed on the brain, eye damage and severe brusing.

The woman had her hair pulled out, and suffered bruising when she was thrown on the floor.

Det Con Angela Greaves said: “I am keen to identify and apprehend those responsible for this needlessly vicious attack on a couple making their way home after a night out. I urge anyone who can put a name to the faces of the men pictured to call without delay. Any information provided will be treated in the strictest confidence.”

The female suspect did not take part in the assault.
