A man has been given a curfew after pleading guilty to possessing cannabis with intent to supply.

Dean Allen, 35, of Malden Road, Queen’s Crescent, admitted the charge at Blackfriars Crown Court.

He was given a suspended nine month prison sentence and handed a 12 month supervision order and a curfew

He will have to stay at home from 9pm to 6am until August.

Allen was arrested when police raided his home in November, finding cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

Sgt Craig McGill, from Camden Police, said: “Police acted on complaints from the local community in relation to drug misuse around this address.

“I’m delighted with the result in this case and hope that the sentence gives residents some respite and confidence that local policing teams will act on information given.

“What made this case more shocking was that the intended recipient of the cannabis was a young family member.

“Social services and the local authority have both been made aware.”
