Police are appealing for witnesses to a brawl near the entrance to Chalk Farm tube station which left a 20-year-old man with serious head injuries.
The brawl took place at 1.30am on Wednesday in front of the Quick Stop supermarket, on the corner of Haverstock Hill and Adelaide Road.
A Met spokesman said: “Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a 20-year-old man suffering from head injuries.
“He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.”
He said no arrests have been made and appealed for witnesses to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
