A man accused of swindling a 100-year-old care home resident out of more than £300,000 is to stand trial.
Edmond Fenton, 69, of Winchester Road, Swiss Cottage, is alleged to have defrauded dementia sufferer Marie Ell out of the proceeds from the sale of her house, by forging a power of attorney document.
He appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with four counts of fraud, which he denies.
He was remanded in custody and will next appear for trial at Blackfriars Crown Court.
