A KILLER who strangled a transsexual prostitute in her Kentish Town home has been jailed for at least 21 years.

Leon Fyle, 22, arranged to visit 29-year-old pre-op transsexual Destiny Lauren for a massage after finding her advert in a newspaper.

He was caught on CCTV donning a pair of black gloves before entering her flat in Leighton Crescent. After strangling her so hard that her eyes bled he stole 250 of her money to pay for a threesome with two other women.

Miss Lauren – whose uncle Paul Hill was a member of the Guildford Four – was found dead two hours later by her brother Lyndon.

A jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court convicted Fyle of murder following a two-week trial last month.

Yesterday judge David Radford jailed Fyle for life, ordering that he serve at least 21 years before being allowed to apply for parole.

He told him: “You agreed to go to her home in Kentish Town, on the face of it, to make use of her sexual services. It is also clear that while you were in her flat you stole various items of her personal property.

“What you also did, plainly and far more wickedly, was to brutally end the life of the person you stole from.

“It was a vicious and callous act.”

During the trial it emerged Fyle had a previous conviction for slashing a man’s face after gay sex.

He was traced by police when detectives found his jacket hanging on the back of the bedroom door. Forensic experts later found Fyle’s DNA from saliva on Miss Lauren’s right nipple.

The family of Destiny Lauren has been beset by tragedy since her uncle was wrongly jailed for two IRA pub bombings in 1975. Paul Hill served 15 years in prison until the convictions were overturned.

In November 2005 her mother Belfast-born Elizabeth Hill killed herself outside the same flat where Ms Lauren lived.
