Firefighters called to flooding at a flat in Somers Town discovered a “large amount” of cannabis plants at the premises.
The crews alerted police after being called to the building in Chalton House, Chalton Street, on Saturday afternoon
A Met spokesman said: “Police were called by London Fire Brigade at 15:17hrs on Saturday, 31 October to reports of a cannabis factory. Police attended the address where it became apparent a large number of cannabis plants were being grown inside - no one was present at the address. The plants have been seized and will be destroyed.”
No arrests have been made.
