EARLY bird burglars targeted two Highgate homes at almost exactly the same time last Wednesday morning.
The first property in Stanhope Gardens was targeted between 6.30am and 7am when three thieves lifted a sash window and stole an iPad.
The second home – just a short distance away in Cholmeley Crescent – was also hit in the same hour at around 6.30am.
Another gang of three attempted to force open a side door, but they ran off empty handed when they were disturbed.
DS Brian Guiney of Haringey CID said: “I reiterate the advice that we usually give to prevent burglary. Make sure that your home is locked and secured, keep valuables away from doors and windows and be vigilant of strangers, particularly during the day. If you see anyone behaving suspiciously, paying particular attention to addresses that appear to be unoccupied, call police on 999.”
