Detectives are investigating the shooting of an 18-year-old woman in Queen’s Crescent in the early hours of Friday (May 25).

A member of the public found the young woman lying in Weedington Road at 12.15am and called the police. Ambulance crews rushed to the scene and treated the teenager for a gunshot wound to the leg.

She was rushed to hospital where she is said to be in a stable condition.

No-one has been arrested and detectives from the Met’s gun crime squad are investigating.
