A woman and two men have been jailed for a total of 11 years for their part in a criminal network that supplied drugs at “chemsex” parties.
The trio – two of whom are from Camden – were sentenced at Southwark Crown Court yesterday after a police investigation into illnesses and injuries linked to the use of crystal meth, mephedrone, GHB, LSD and cocaine.
Police believe the substances were used at drug-fuelled sex parties in Soho and the West End.
James Shugg, 53, of Drury Lane, was given five years in jail for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and nine months for conspiracy to supply Class B drugs.

Det Sgt Vince Abrahart, from the Westminster Crime Squad, said police had broken up a supply network that provided drugs to “vulnerable users”.
“During the investigation it was shown that the effects of the mixtures of these drugs used at ‘chemsex’ parties can prove fatal,” he said.
“The reckless supply of these drugs had to be stemmed. The sentences handed down to those involved show that the dealers of these dangerous substances will be brought to justice and made to pay for their criminal actions.”
He added: “Shugg, Bleta and Montes-Bailon formed a supply network to distribute wholesale quantities of drugs to a large client base they built up through social media and word of mouth referrals.
“As a result of these arrests and charges, significant quantities of Class A and B drugs have been seized and this criminal network has been broken up.”
Another man from Camden – Lee Cash, 53, of Newton Court – was sentenced on May 27 last year after pleading guilty to possession of Class A drugs.
He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a victim surcharge.
