The rate of burglaries in the road where Hampstead Police Station was based has tripled in the year of its closure.
The Grade II-listed building served the Hampstead community for 100 years before being axed by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime on June 24 last year.
New figures reveal there have been nine burglaries in Rosslyn Hill in the current financial year to date, compared with three in the previous year from April 2012 to March 2013.
Four of the nine more recent burglaries were at homes, while five were at business or other non-residential addresses.
