Former Barnet mayor Cllr Brian Coleman denied two criminal charges when he appeared in court today.
Appearing at Uxbridge Magistrates Court, the former London Assembly member for Camden and Barnet pleaded not guilty to assault by beating and driving without due care and attention.
The 51-year-old, who last week was suspended from the Conservative party, will return to court to be tried on February 6.
