A Camden Town nightspot has been banned from serving alcohol after a football fan died following a stabbing in the bar.

Alex Jarmay, from Merseyside, bled to death on the ground outside Bar Uno on the eve of the Carling Cup Final last month. The bar in Inverness Street lost its right to serve booze or host entertainment after police called for a full review of its license.

Press and public were barred from a meeting on Tuesday (March 27) at which Camden Council revoked Bar Uno’s licence.

A council spokeswoman said: “Bar Uno’s licence was revoked to prevent any further crime and disorder at the premises. The revocation was not opposed by the licence holder.”

Kentish Town brothers Paul, 28, and Damian Beck, 23, will be tried for murder this summer.
