Police are appealing for information after a failed attempt to ‘blow up’ a Chalk Farm cash machine as part of a plot to steal cash.

Officers were called to Chalk Farm Road junction with Harmood Street at 11.13am on Sunday January 7, after reports of suspects attempting to blow up the machine.

After examinations by the investigating officers, there was no trace of explosives found.

However there was signs of a failed attempt to force entry to the machine using power tools.

No money was stolen, and no injuries were reported as part of the attempted theft.

Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made, and their investigations continue.
