One of two men accused of hurling anti-Semitic abuse at diners outside a kosher restaurant in Golders Green has been acquitted after standing trial for the incident.

Slovakian native Jozef Dubos, 41, denied abusing three men marking Holocaust Remembrance Day at the White House Express, in Golders Green Road, on April 29.

Mr Dubos, of Caulfield Road, East Ham, was cleared of two charges of racially or religiously aggravated harassment after a trial at Willesden Magistrates’ Court this week.

His friend Miroslav Ondrus, 33, previously admitted marching up to the men while performing a Nazi salute and shouting “Heil Hitler” during an earlier hearing at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on May 14.

Ondrus, of Leopold Road, Wimbledon, was sentenced to 180 hours of community service and banned from entering the NW11 postcode for a year.
