A photographer who sexually assaulted two women after inviting them to a modelling session has been jailed for four years

Adam Selly, 53, of Quickswood, Primrose Hill, was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault following a week-long trial at Blackfriars Crown Court.

He contacted two women on his website Beauty Bound, which specialises in nude black and white photographs of women with body paint.

Selly did not charge the women for the photographs but offered them on a “time for photos” basis.

The first victim, age 20, was sexually assaulted during a photo shoot in Selly’s home in January.

He then sexually assaulted another woman, aged 23, a month later.

Selly received 18 months imprisonment for the first sexual assault and two years and six months for the second offence, to run afterwards.

Selly was also made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order prohibiting him from photographing any woman outside his family without notifying them of his convictions.

He will also be placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register.

Detective Constable Sam O’Callaghan of the Met’s Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command said: ‘Selly targeted two women after he contacted them through his photography website offering a modelling session in his home.

“I would like thank both of his victims and acknowledge their courage throughout this investigation.

“Both ladies were determined to attend court and see justice done.

“The evidence against Selly was strong which lead to the jury finding him guilty of both counts and the sentence handed to him reflects the gravity of both offences and the effect they have had on the victims’ lives.

“Should anyone recognise Selly and believe they have been a victim at his hands please come forward. We are committed to bringing perpetrators of sexual offences to justice.”
