Police are seeking a pervert who touched a woman inappropriately inside Highgate Underground Station.

The incident happened at around 10.15am on March 29 on an upwards bound escalator.

The victim was standing on the right hand side of the escalator when a man walked up on the left hand side and touched her inappropriately as he passed, British Transport Police (BTP) said.

The offender carried on walking up the escalators and left the station onto Archway road.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the sexual assault as he might have information which could help the investigation.

Anyone with information can contact BTP by text on 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 601 of 29 March. Calls can also be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
