A police helicopter has been hovering above Camden Town this afternoon while officers negotiate with a man who is up on the roof and refusing to come down.

A police spokesman said this afternoon: “At approximately 12.20pm, police attended an address in Harmood Street to arrest a man wanted on a court bench warrant.

“A man subsequently made his way on to the roof of a property in Harmood Street. He remains there.”

Officers and other emergency services remain on scene at the two-storey home which is next to Walden Books.
